Radisson RED is an upscale brand that presents a playful twist on the conventional. The leading hospitality group has partnered with Gnosis Investment, a privately owned investment and management company, to open the Radisson RED Mitropoleos Square Athens, a project that sees the conversion of an existing office building into design-led lifestyle serviced apartments. “We are proud to partner with Gnosis Investments in this first strategic signing together to bring our real- estate efficient, urban, Radisson RED brand to the historic heart of the Greek capital,” says Elie Milky, Vice President Development at Radisson Hotel Group. The property is situated on Mitropoleos Square, a location in the Plaka neighborhood, next to the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens, near Syntagma Square and in the heart of the business, nightlife, art and shopping districts of the historic center. “This product will fill a large gap in the city today while it satisfies the investment requirements of funds seeking entry into the market. The signing will solidify Radisson Hotel Group’s grip on the Greek market as we continue to execute our development strategy for the country to become one of the leading international players in the coming months,” Milky added. Radisson RED Mitropoleos Square Athens will be Radisson Hotel Group’s third property in the Greek capital in addition to the Radisson Blu Park Hotel Athens and the Anda Hotel Athens, a member of Radisson Individuals. Set to open in the second half of 2023, Radisson RED Mitropoleos Square Athens will introduce the upscale lifestyle brand in Greece, growing the Group’s Greek portfolio to seven properties in operation and under development. Radisson RED Mitropoleos Square Athens will feature 94 small apartments with kitchenettes, 150 square meters of meeting space and a fitness area. An all-day dining restaurant will be located on the ground floor. The highlight of the property will be its rooftop bar and restaurant in association with a celebrity chef, with direct views of the Acropolis. Epacron S.A., one of the leading construction companies in Greece, was selected as the constructor of the project.
