Air Astana, the national carrier of Kazakhstan, will launch a direct service from Nur-Sultan and Almaty to Heraklion, capital of the Greek island of Crete on June 1.

Flights will be operated using latest generation Airbus A321LR on Mondays and Wednesdays from Nur-Sultan, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Almaty. Additional frequencies from both cities are under consideration.

Passengers travelling to Greece must provide a certificate with a negative PCR test made 72 hours before the estimated arrival time or an express coronavirus test made 24 hours prior to the estimated arrival time. The above requirements are not mandatory to children under 5 years of age and fully vaccinated passengers.

All travellers are subject to random obligatory Covid-19 tests by local health authorities upon arrival.

Goldair is the General Sales Agent (GSA) of Air Astana in Greece.
