Athens News ‘This is Athens City Festival’ Opens in May by GTP editing team 18 April 2022 written by GTP editing team 18 April 2022 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 26 Photo source: develop.thisisathens.org The Athens Development and Destination Management Agency (EATA) in May will hold the “This is Athens City Festival” looking to entertain residents and visitors, as well as support local organizations and entrepreneurs. “After two difficult years [due to the coronavirus pandemic], EATA is organizing an open festival and inviting residents and visitors to explore the city between May 1-31,” the agency said in an announcement. The festival will be divided into four themes and feature exhibitions, gastronomy events, entertainment events and outdoor activities. All events and activities will take place in Athenian museums, cultural institutions, organizations and businesses during the month of May. The special events for the city’s residents and visitors will include permanent and temporary exhibitions, thematic walking or cycling routes, sports activities, gastronomy nights, concerts and parties, and exclusive activities for children. The This is Athens City Festival is an event of “This is Athens”, the official guide for promoting the city abroad. All events will be take place in accordance with the existing health and safety protocols against the spread of Covid-19.
