The public consultation for the review of the Package Travel Directive [(EU) 2015/2302], launched by the European Commission, is still in process.

All citizens and the wider community of stakeholders are welcome to express their views.

Through the public consultation, the Commission seeks information from stakeholders that may have an interest or expertise in the Package Travel Directive. The Commission is interested in learning about their experiences, perceptions and opinions regarding the application of the current rules and about the potential impacts of options for future action.

Relevant stakeholders include individuals using travel services; consumer organisations, including passenger rights associations; and traders (including SMEs) and relevant business associations in particular at EU level, such as package travel organisers (tour operators, online and off-line travel agencies, carriers, hotels etc.) and/or retailers (in particular online and off-line travel agencies).

Questionnaires are available in some or all official EU languages and are accessible here.

The consultation period ends on May 10 (midnight Brussels time).
