The country’s video titled “Greece does have a winter” won the silver award in the “Destination Country” category. Launched by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) and the Tourism Ministry in late December, Greece’s winter campaign aims to promote the country’s mainland destinations and the rich experiences travelers can enjoy during winter. “The enhancement and promotion of winter tourism is one of the main pillars of the GNTO’s communication strategy for the country’s promotion abroad. Greece is a year-round destination,” the GNTO said in an announcement. This year’s ITFFA also awarded the “Peloponnese. Greece beyond the obvious” campaign. The promotional video received the silver award in the “Destination Region” category. Founded in 2019, ITFFA aims to recognize and promote works of exceptional and innovative content – from TV ads, promotional films, video campaigns, videos for social media to video blogs, documentaries, reports and TV magazines related to the promotion of tourism destinations. This year’s event took place in Cape Town during May 4-7 with the participation of 315 audiovisual productions from 55 countries. ITFFA is organized annually in collaboration with the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT) .
