A luxury magazine for the discerning corporate traveler, Business Destinations offers news, reviews, city guides, features and top tips on hotels, airlines and meeting venues. The magazine’s 2022 Travel Awards recognize the world’s best venues and destinations for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) tourism, as well as the top business hotels in Europe, Asia, South and North America, the Caribbean, Africa and the Middle East. “Athens is building upon its forward-thinking heritage and becoming a sustainable and responsible city for residents and visitors. The hard work and focus on quality of life has started to pay off in the growth of our meetings industry. It is an honor to be recognized on a global scale,” said Athens Development and Destination Management Agency (EATA) CEO, Vagelis Vlachos. Vangelis Vlachos, CEO, EATA. Furthermore, Vlachos said that Athens’ hospitality industry continued to grow by returning to its roots in Athenian culture, especially through the renovation of historic buildings around the city center. “It is very exciting to see Athens transform while proudly holding onto its identity. That’s what will keep Athens on the map for meetings and conferences in the years to come,” he added.
