Trade Associations - Gov Investments, Cooperation Top Greek-Saudi Business Forum Agenda by GTP editing team 30 May 2022 written by GTP editing team 30 May 2022 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 29 Saudi Investments Minister Khalid Al Falih and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis The sky is the limit for what Greece and Saudi Arabia can achieve if they work together, said Saudi Investments Minister Khalid Al Falih during a meeting this week with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis ahead of the Greek-Saudi Business Forum held in Athens today. During the meeting, Mitsotakis and Al Falih agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations. He went on to add that attracting direct investments and seeking partnerships was a key priority for the government. Today’s forum, attended by Greek and Saudi government officials and dozens of Greek and Saudi businesses, paves the way for collaborations in tourism, shipping, energy, construction, innovation, agriculture and food. Among others, Greece hopes to increase tourist flows from Saudi Arabia and secure direct flights to Athens. Saudi Investments Minister Khalid Al FalihGreek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis “Something which we will continue to pursue in 2023,” said Deputy Tourism Minister Sofia Zacharaki following a visit to Santorini by the Saudi delegation. She added that the ministry was pleased to see the number of arrivals from Saudi Arabia increasing. The forum followed a Greek delegation visit to Saudi Arabia in March this year and a visit by Mitsotakis last fall. The Greek PM referred to a shared vision with Greece, of cooperation in various fields which “is now being implemented in practice, in the field, and in terms of connectivity, whether it concerns the digital sector, trade, logistics, logistics, “Investment, tourism.
