Photo source: Jet2.com UK tour operator Jet2 last week waved off its first flight to Santorini from Edinburgh Airport, marking the start of a brand-new route for the summer of 2022. Jet2 runs leisure flights through Jet2.com and package holidays through its tour operator Jet2holidays. From May 26 until October 27, the leisure airline will operate weekly Thursday services to the Greek island from Edinburgh. In addition, Jet2’s inaugural flight to Skiathos from Edinburgh Airport departed last week, followed by their first flight to Preveza on Sunday, May 29. The tour operator is now operating to nine Greek destinations from their base this summer, namely Corfu, Crete (Heraklion), Kos, Preveza, Rhodes, Santorini, Skiathos, Halkidiki and Zakynthos. The full breakdown of the 2022 summer program to Skiathos, Preveza as well as to Izmir, Turkey, from Edinburgh Airport is as follows: Skiathos – weekly Friday services operating from May 27 to September 30 Preveza – weekly Sunday services operating from May 29 to October 23 Izmir – weekly Saturday services operating from May 28 to October 22.
