SKY express has announced the addition of one more Airbus A320neo to its green fleet, a new milestone in its ongoing investment plan.

“Just one year after the complete modernisation of our fleet with six Airbus A320neo, one Airbus A320ceo and six ATR 72-600, our new move concerns the acquisition of an additional aircraft of the Airbus A320neo family,” the airline said.

This is the eighth A320neo aircraft added to SKY express’ fleet and is part of the airline’s commitment to a fully sustainable model of air transport with new generation state-of-the-art aircraft that save fuel and reduce environmental impacts.

The newly acquired aircraft strengthens SKY express’ new, green fleet in terms of available seats, effective service of increased traffic and overall support of the domestic tourism product.

In addition, it demonstrates SKY express’ readiness for a demanding summer program that includes 12 countries, 21 foreign cities and a large domestic network.

“At SKY express we seek for a ‘cleaner’ future in aviation and a sustainable operating model… We are changing aviation standards in the country, offering a unique travel experience and environmentally responsible choices to the people who trust us,” Board Chairman Theodoros Krokidas said.

With direct flights to strategic destinations, enhanced connectivity and strong alliances, SKY express is contributing decisively to the country’s tourist traffic this summer.

To  ensure easy travel to 34 distinct Greek destinations the airline has partnered with global aviation giants such as Air Transat, Air France, KLM, Qatar Airways, American Airlines, Middle East Airlines, Cyprus Airways, easyJet and Delta.
