Lesvos – Izmir Ferry Link to Begin June 17

The Greek island of Lesvos will soon be connected with Izmir in Turkey via a direct ferry route.

Τo be conducted by Izdeniz, a Turkish ferry operator, the new ferry service is scheduled to begin on June 17.

According to reports, the Lesvos-Izmir route will run twice a week, on Fridays and Sundays.

The new route will be operated by the 400-seat catamaran Ihsan Alyanak.

Preparing for the route, the Izdeniz company said that it conducted a test route between Izmir and Mytilini earlier in May.

The journey is expected to take two hours and 15 minutes.
