Located on the sandy beach of Agios Minas in Chalkida, the new hotel offers 119 modern, comfortable rooms with spacious balconies; and bungalows of Cycladic aesthetic. The hotel offers unique views to the sea. “Only an hour away from Athens, the hotel is easily accessible not only from the Greek capital but from any mainland destination. It provides couples and families with the opportunity to relax and unwind,” the group’s management said in an announcement. Designed by the Urban Soul Project, Brown Beach Chalkida is the result of the overhaul of the former Pelagos hotel. “Greek summer and the feeling of the warm sand and the sun are part of the hotel’s architecture. The selected materials such as wood, marble, textiles, ceramics and colors were taken from nature. The characteristic touches of geometric motifs from Doric columns and the marble details combine the heritage of ancient Greek tradition with modern aesthetics,” the announcement said. The Brown Beach Chalkida hotel includes restaurants with local selections, a large swimming pool, a pool bar, tennis courts and massage treatment facilities. Brown Hotels is planning to open two more hotels in the center of Athens and one resort in the town of Eretria on Evia. The group’s three-year investment plan includes the opening of a total of 42 hotels and resorts in Greece.
