The Municipality of Thessaloniki is organizing a three-day festival open to all – residents and visitors – to celebrate European Music Day. Events include the Thessaloniki Buskers Festival Park Edition, which aspires to become a meeting point for street artists from all over the world. “Following the example of other major cities such as Barcelona, Edinburgh and New York, Thessaloniki will host street artists from Greece and abroad who will mingle with the locals and visitors and participate in a unique, multicultural experience that will culminate on European Music Day,” the municipality said in an announcement. The Buskers Festival will include music, theater and dance performances, puppet shows, shadow theater, pantomime and stand up comedy events, juggling shows and more. Meanwhile, on June 21, the Thessaloniki Philarmonic Orchestra will perform beloved songs on the city’s streets starting from the area of Aghia Sophia in the evening. In addition, Pyx Lax, a renowned Greek band, will hold a concert at the city’s Kipos Theater. The Pyx Lax All events will take place as part of the municipality’s 3rd Summer Festival.
