The new tourism complex is aiming for a zero footprint ensuring optimal use of environmental resources and viable, long-term economic operations. “This new strategic investment budgeted at of 840 million euros confirms that Greece is one of the most attractive destinations in the world for investment. I am optimistic that 2022 will remain a good financial year for Greece and investments will continue at a steady pace,” said Development & Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis. “Investments such as these upgrade the domestic tourism product and promote the role of the country as a pole of attraction for international tourism. The pro-investment environment in Greece creates new jobs and strengthens the international image of the country in the direction of a new productive model, strong and sustainable based on the principles of the green economy,” added Deputy Development & Investments Minister Nikos Papathanasis. Besides Georgiadis and Papathanasis, Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias, Finance Minister Christos Staikouras and Environment Minister Kostas Skrekas were on the Interministerial Committee for Strategic Investments.
