Photo source: Wikipedia A female-centric film, written and directed by Gyllenhaal in her feature directorial debut, The Lost Daughter will premiere at the Cine Titania on the Greek island. Based on the 2006 novel by Elena Ferrante, The Lost Daughter is a psychological drama film starring Olivia Colman, Dakota Johnson, Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal, with Peter Sarsgaard and Ed Harris. Olivia Colman plays Leda, a middle-aged college professor and noted translator who’s holiday in Greece takes a dark turn when she begins to confront the troubles of her past. Acclaimed by critics, the film received three nominations at the 94th Academy Awards for Best Actress (Colman), Best Supporting Actress (Buckley), and Best Adapted Screenplay. The film will open in Greek cinemas on June 30 by Spentzos Film.
