The festival will take place in Kalamata’s West Beach Park during August 5-7 with the participation of over 30 Greek brewers from regions including the Peloponnese, Athens, Thessaly, Epirus and Crete, and more than 350 labels of Greek fresh handmade beer such as Lager, Weiss, Stout, Pale Ale, IPA, Porter and Pilsner. “Beers with intense aromas of malt, hops, flowers and citrus; flavors of dark chocolate, herbs, honey; and many more await guests of the 2nd Peloponnese Beer Festival,” the organizers said. The festival will also host concerts with popular Greek artists such as Kitrina Podilata and Melina Kana. The festival’s gastronomy character will be further enhanced by four kiosks that will offer delicious street food from the US, Europe and Greece. An exhibition of Greek brewers will also take place at the West Beach Park during the three-day event, under the auspices of the Municipality of Kalamata and the Chamber of Messinia.
