Canada’s largest provider of scheduled passenger services in the country’s market, in 2019 it was included among the world’s 20 largest airlines. Air Canada’s strategic partnership with Goldair Airline Services aims to enhance recognition, promote its presence in Greece and Cyprus, increase tourist flows between Greece and Canada and optimize Air Canada’s marine product sales. “We are confident that through this partnership, Air Canada will be able to serve and support all its agency partners and corporate customers in Greece and Cyprus with the excellence that is expected from a top international airline,” Air Canada Regional Manager Stefano Casaregola said. Air Canada’s daily flights from Athens to Toronto and Montreal will be operated by a Boeing 777 aircraft, serving 400 passengers for each destination. Air Canada offers a choice of a three-class cabin with the Air Canada Signature Class, the Premium Economy Class and the Economy Class. All flights are scheduled in line with connectivity to Air Canada’s extensive North American network, including 46 airports in the US. According to Goldair Deputy Managing Director Nikos Sofiadis, as the airline’s GSA, Goldair will focus on Air Canada’s sales growth and maximizing the carrier’s share in both markets. Goldair – Golemis Air Services CO.S.A. is one of the largest tourism and transportation groups in Greece and Cyprus. As GSA of Air Canada, the group will also aim to strengthen the carrier’s brand awareness; develop efficient and strategic commercial activities; boost revenue from ticket sales and encourage trade partners to select Air Canada as their first-choice airline. “This new partnership is a major challenge for the Goldair Group, as it marks the restart of tourism in the post-Covid era and brings new growth opportunities for both leisure and business travel between Canada and Greece,” said Goldair Deputy Managing Director Nikos Sofiadis.
