The Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens has once again been included on the “World’s Best List 2022” of the renowned Travel + Leisure magazine.

Hotel Grande Bretagne tops the list of the best three hotels in Athens, with its sister property, the King George Hotel, ranking third. The King George was an honoree on the T+L list for the first time

The best hotels in Athens, according to Travel + Leisure’s readers, show off the city’s vibrant culture scene and honor its ancient history.

T+L’s readers praised Grande Bretagne’s beauty, location and restaurants.

“To stay at the Hotel Grande Bretagne is to sleep inside a small piece of Athens’s history,” the magazine says.

Both hotels are in a prime location, at Syntagma Square in the heart of Athens, offering spectacular views of the Acropolis, exceptional services and memorable experiences.

“Having received these important distinctions, Grande Bretagne and King George are committed to continue delivering exceptional, indigenous experiences to their guests,” the hotels’ management said.

Hotel Grande Bretagne and King George are owned and controlled, respectively, by Lampsa Hellenic Hotels SA, a subsidiary of the Laskaridis group, and managed by Marriott International, Inc.
