Merakos The Greek Rural Development and Food Ministry will be allocating funds to “green” tourism projects linking agriculture with manufacture. Interested parties can apply for the ministry’s “Green Agritourism” program budgeted at 49 million euros starting Tuesday, July 19 through to September 30. The main aim of the program is to boost the competitiveness and recognition of Greek products through their placement at key tourist points and the development of experiential agritourism activities. The program will be covered by RRF funds for the 2022-2025 period. Funding concerns all SMEs and large enterprises including those set to open and covers investment projects in the tourism sector which link the primary and secondary sectors with the tertiary sector creating new tourism products. The ministry said it will allocate from 500,000.00 euros to 7.5 million euros to very small, small and medium-sized enterprises that are approved; and 500,000,00 euros to 12.5 million euros to large businesses that meet the conditions. Eligible parties must submit an application for funding, their proposal and supporting documents here (in Greek).
