Germany-based Alva Yachts, a sustainable luxury yacht brand, recently announced Alva Yachts Hellas as its exclusive sales representative for Greece and Cyprus. Founded in 2020, Alva Yachts offers a wide range of eco-friendly luxury motor and sailing yachts. “We dream of a future where yachting is completely emission-free, and ecologically circular. Alva Yachts is getting very close to making our dream a reality,” said Diogenes Venetopoulos, head of Alva Yachts Hellas. During an event in Athens, the company’s yachts on offer, which include the 15.20 meters expedition yacht Eco Cruise 50 and all-electric 27.5m catamaran Ocean Eco 90, were presented. All yachts have an advanced solar energy management/distribution system that allows them to move independently at a cruising speed of 3.5-4 knots, while at higher speeds fuel consumption is reduced by up to 90 percent compared to conventional vessels. “Greece, with its endless coastline and hundreds of islands, is the ultimate yachting paradise of the world, blessed with almost unlimited sunshine, all year round. We are sure that Alva Yachts will push it even further to the forefront of green and sustainable marine tourism,” Venetopoulos added. The event in Athens was attended by Greek tourism professionals and journalists, Alva Yachts Managing Director Mathias May, Alva Yachts Commercial Director Dennis De Roos and Greek Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis. The offices of Alva Yachts Hellas are located on 214 Syggrou Avenue in Kallithea, Athens.
