T+L’s online edition this month features an article on where its top travel experts are headed for vacation this year. The article provides travelers with plenty of recommendations and includes places and activities that Travel + Leisure’s A-List advisors “can’t wait to travel to”. Christos Stergiou, a travel advisor for T+L, says that he would spent a couple of the summer months with his family on the beautiful island of Patmos in Greece, which is ideal for working remotely. “Elegant and with historical significance (its capital, Hora, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Patmos has stayed faithful to its traditional architecture and character,” Stergiou said. Apart from a unique summer vacation destination, Patmos is also a leading religious tourism site. Its Hora, along with the Monastery of Saint John the Theologian and the Cave of the Apocalypse, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. Cave of the Apocalypse. Apart from Patmos, T+L’s 2022 vacation list also includes Japan, Australia, French Polynesia, India, Umbria, Kenya, Trieste, Mallorca, London, Alaska, Tuscany and Sri Lanka.
