Griekenland.net is a Dutch website that offers info and holiday tips about Greek destinations. According to its survey, Dutch holidaymakers clearly prefer June and September – right before and just after the high tourism season – to discover the Greek islands and mainland. In total, 1,109 votes were cast for the survey and the months of June and September were chosen by 27 percent of voters as favorites for holidays to Greece. Travelers said that Greece’s pleasant temperature and attractive prices during the two months were enough to influence their travel plans as well as the fact that June and September are not as “busy” as July and August. The period from November to April received no votes, showing that the Dutch are perhaps not very fond of winter vacations.
