According to an announcement, the renewal of the content agreement will enable modern travel retailing by bringing Oman Air content to Travelport-connected travel agencies all over the globe via Travelport+, Travelport’s next-generation travel retailing platform. With the new multi-year agreement, Travelport will work closely with Oman Air to implement Travelport’s rich content and branding initiatives, streamlining service processes, and provide a first-class modern travel retailing experience. “This multi-year agreement renewal represents the strong partnership and trust between Travelport and Oman Air. With the evolution of the tools and agency capabilities which Travelport+ provides, we are looking forward to generating greater value for Oman Air and advancing our journey together on NDC,” said David Gomes, head of regional air partners for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Travelport. On his part, Oman Air Senior Vice President – Revenue, Retail and Cargo Umesh Chhiber said that during their decades-long partnership, Travelport has demonstrated its values and commitment by providing the best service. “We are confident that Travelport+, Travelport’s next-generation travel retailing platform, will continue to assist us in further strengthening our airline travel retailing products’ global position and, as a result, creating more value for agencies and travelers,” he said. Oman Air will also actively collaborate with Travelport to integrate and distribute its New Distribution Capability (NDC) content on a global scale.
