The special episode on Thessaloniki is scheduled to air on September 18 at 17:00 Israel time on i24 News which also airs on Greece’s Nova cable. Broadcast in English and hosted by Emily Frances, Holy Land Uncovered is a weekly magazine about faith, religion and the history of destinations. The show’s promo video gives a sneak preview of Thessaloniki and all it has to offer: The episode was filmed in Thessaloniki in July during a press trip organized by the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization (TTO) in collaboration with the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO). “During the trip, Frances visited Thessaloniki’s most significant sites and presented the city’s culinary identity as part of its culture that reflects its history and traditions,” an announcement by the TTO said. By organizing the press trip, the organization aimed to approach the tourism market of Israel as well as promote the multicultural character of Thessaloniki and its historic connection with the Jewish community.
