Organized by the Ano Poli (Upper Town) Conservatoire in collaboration with the Cultural Center of the Thessaloniki Municipality, the “Musical Mondays at the squares of Ano Poli” concerts will take place on a weekly basis starting Monday, September 5. Musical Mondays will feature the conservatoire’s traditional and popular orchestra that will perform songs from Smyrna under the artistic direction of conductor Panagiotis Dimantis. The first concert will take place at 7.30pm on September 5, at the square of Trigonion Tower. Trigonion Tower, Thessaloniki. Photo Source: @Thessaloniki Hotels Association Musical Mondays concerts will also take place at Romfei square (September 12), Kallithea square (September 19) and in the Islahane Multi-venue (September 26). The Ano Poli Conservatoire every year presents music events in collaboration with the National Theatre of Northern Greece, the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, the international Chamber Music Festival “Magna Graecia” of the city of Tropea, Italy, the Union of Romanian Greeks as well as in many Greek festivals. The conservatoire also participates in the international chamber music cycle and other concerts of the Thessaloniki Concert Hall.
