MarBella Collection’s ‘Greek Chefs Abroad II’ Showcases Greek Cuisine with a ‘Twist’

Aiming to showcase the vast potential of Greek cuisine internationally, the MarBella Collection held its annual “Greek Chefs Abroad II” event across its network of luxury hotels.

Part of the “The Greek Chefs Abroad” culinary series, Greek Chefs Abroad II featured celebrated chefs Gikas Xenakis, Asimakis Chaniotis, Marianna Leivaditaki, John Skotidas, and Yiannis Kioroglou, who joined forces and talents to create innovative dishes showcasing Greek cuisine for the MarBella Collection hotels.

“Contemporary Greek cuisine is a significant constant in our modern cultural tradition as well as a very important asset attracting high level tourism,” said MarBella Collection in a statement.

The theme this year focused on “culinary tradition” and “the future through international influences”.

As ambassadors of Greek culinary traditions, participating chefs this year worked with fresh local products enhancing age-old recipes with new trends and re-introducing these to the public.

All participating chefs said they were proud to be contributing to the promotion of Greek cuisine abroad and said in this way they paid tribute to their culinary roots.

The aim of the “Greek Chefs Abroad” initiative is to establish Greece as modern culinary destination that can attract eclectic tourism.
