Flisvos Marina Wins ‘Smart & Sustainable Marina’ Award

Flisvos Marina of Lamda Development won the first prize and was named best “Smart and Sustainable Marina” during an international competition held recently by Monaco Marina Management at the Monaco Yacht Club.

Announced during the second edition of the Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina meeting, the award recognizes environmentally responsible marinas that have unique architecture and offer a high – standard customer experience.

The award promotes innovation and green technology and aims for marinas to become leisure venues that are at the top of the preferences of travelers.

“This award confirms the continuous efforts we make to improve and adapt management practices to the needs of the times. Commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) values is not just a key policy for Flisvos Marina but also an integral part of its mentality,” said Stavros Katsikadis, Managing Director of LAMDA Flisvos Marina S.A.

This is the second time within a year that Flisvos Marina is internationally recognized for its quality management.

The Flisvos Marina today uses electricity from 100 percent renewable sources and retains swimming level water quality with daily cleaning of sea and land areas and seawater and drinking water analysis.

It also uses use environmentally friendly building materials such as cobblestone, as well as innovative solutions such as an outdoor composting station and two units for removing micro-plastics from the sea.
