Barcelona-born master chef Jordi Cruz Mas and popular TV persona Jesús Calleja will be showcasing the Central Greece region of Thessaly on the “Planeta Calleja” show after a visit organized by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO). Mountaineer and presenter Jesús Calleja and Cruz Mas had the chance to tour Thessaly’s main sites and attractions this month to film a “Planeta Calleja” episode on Greece to be broadcast in February 2023 on Spain’s public channel 4 as part of a series of press trips organized by the GNTO in collaboration with the Region of Thessaly, AEGEAN, and local tourism stakeholders. Besides learning about the secrets of Thessaly cuisine from the Esperides Women’s Agrotourism Cooperative of Vyzitsa in Pelion, the Spanish Michelin-star chef and Calleja did some horseback riding, sailing, canyoning and traveled on board the Moutzouris steam train in Pelion, as well as enjoyed some daring rock climbing at Meteora.
