Held on the National Day of Spain and Day of the Spanish Language, the celebration took place at the airport’s Departures Level and gave the travelers of the day a bit of Spanish color and tradition before flying out of the Greek capital to various destinations. “Honoring the Spanish language, one could call the celebration, ‘Fiesta Nacional de España!‘,” an announcement by IBERIA said. From Athens International Airport to Madrid Barajas, IBERIA operates five weekly services in the winter and two daily in the summer. During the summer season, IBERIA also flies directly from Madrid to Corfu, Mykonos, Heraklion, and Santorini.
