Greece ‘TikToks’ its Way into World’s Most Trending Honeymoon Destinations

Greece got the 4th coveted spot in the World’s Trending Honeymoon Destinations list, according to data released by luxury tour operator Kuoni.

The travel company analyzed TikTok data for honeymoon hashtags for over 445 world destinations where Greece got 1.4 million views under its honeymoon hashtag. Adding Mykonos’ and Santorini’s individual honeymoon hashtags the total view amounted to 2.2 million making the country a post nuptials destination to remember.

Greece was hailed for its characteristic Aegean architecture, picturesque beaches and culinary Mediterranean excellence.

According to the research, the Maldives are the top trending honeymoon destination in the world, followed by Italy in 2nd place and Bali in 3rd. The top 10 also include Antigua and Barbuda, Malaysia, Mexico, United Kingdom, Bora Bora, Dubai.

At the same time, Santorini and Mykonos managed the 2nd and 11th positions in the top 13 trending honeymoon destinations in Europe with France’s Paris winning the top spot.

Data recognized Hawaii and New York as the two most popular honeymoon destinations in the US.

One in five newlyweds use social media to find a honeymoon destination as Luggage Hero indicates in its honeymoon statistics, while Wedding Academy’s 2022 Wedding Trend Report predicts an increase in couples combining destination weddings and honeymoons.

Recently, Greece also ranked as the 6th most popular place for destination weddings in the world according to data analysis published by online financial product comparison service, money.co.uk.

Was there any doubt about this!?…. Mykonou was a honeymoon destination from the late 90s!!!!
