The La Mer Resort & Spa, owned by the Gelasakis Group, recently was honored with the “Top Travel Ads Performance” award by Expedia Group at the Crete Annual Partner Awards 2022. Expedia Group is leading online travel agency that provides leading technology solutions to fuel the growth of its partner hotels. According to an announcement by the hotel’s management, the award comes as a result of the La Mer’s successful sales strategy which was planned and designed in collaboration with Loguers, a Greek hospitality management & consulting company. La Mer’s award was accepted by Evi Gelasaki, on behalf of the Gelasakis Group, during a cocktail event organized by Expedia Group’s group market management team at the Carte Postale restaurant in Chania. Located on Crete, the five-star hotel is an “adults only” resort that offers high–end experiences to its visitors. The La Mer Resort & Spa is situated on a beachfront with a stunning view of the Aegean Sea and offers contemporary, innovative and personalized services. Its 76 rooms and suites alongside its freshwater pool, seaside indoor pool and state-of-the-art spa center, are designed to soothe the guest’s mind and capture the essence of wellbeing. Furthermore, La Mer has two gourmet restaurants that serve the best Mediterranean cuisine has to offer, a gym & fitness center and is equipped to host weddings and business events with a capacity ranging from 25 to 220 people. The resort has consecutively been recognized for its sustainable practices with the “Blue Flag” and “Green Key” badges. La Mer also caters to visitors that own hybrid or electric cars, which can be charged in the resort’s parking lot. Earlier this year La Mer won two bronze distinctions at the Tourism Awards 2022 in the Best Adults Only Hotel/Resort and Spa Hotel/Resort categories.
