Launched in 2022, The Wom is one of Italy’s most popular digital media brands designed specifically for millennials and generation Z. It promotes unique and inclusive ideas and content. In The Wom’s “Summer 2023: Where to go for holidays” online feature, Greece’s Elafonisos was chosen as one of Europe’s best choices for its proximity to Italy, available travel packages on offer and relaxed ambiance. You will only need your beach towel, suntan lotion and a hat,” The Wom Travel’s Rosanna Carrizzo says. The island has become particularly popular with Italians, especially after initiatives were taken by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) and the island’s municipality. Following the “Welcome to Greece” digital workshop organized by the GNTO branch in Milan and a series of web meetings with professionals of the tourism industry in Italy, the Municipality of Elafonisos strengthened its marketing efforts, which included mentions in Italian media and online travel websites such as Investireoggi.it and Inran. Both travel websites chose Elafonisos as one of the best holiday destinations for 2022. Moreover, Kos, Milos, Limnos and Crete were praised for offering low-cost holiday options.
