Paros, the Greek island of the celebrated “Parian marble” from which famous antiquities like the Caryatids were made, was named 7th best place to travel internationally in 2023 by Forbes.com, one of the world’s most widely visited business websites.

Located in the Cyclades island group, Paros was included on the “Best Places to travel in 2023” list, which was compiled exclusively for Forbes.com by OvationNetwork, a NewYork-based travel agency that specializes in luxury and experiential travel.

“Paros is the ideal alternative to the popular and more crowded Greek islands like Mykonos and Santorini,” says Forbes.com contributor Christopher Elliott. He adds that the island has been a top destination for Greeks for decades offering “a welcome mix of traditional Greek with the contemporary through its boutique luxury hotels and great food scene.”

Paros has been gaining momentum as a holiday destination more and more in the last few years. In July, Paros got 3rd place at the “Best Islands in Europe” ranking in an annual survey conducted by American Magazine Travel +Leisure and in 2021, Condé  Nast Traveler named it a top 10 “European Island Destination”.

Moreover, recently shared data presented at the 23rd Prodexpo conference held recently in Athens, indicated that Paros is currently among the top Greek popular destinations where international buyers are seeking to invest in holiday homes.

Queenstown, New Zealand, was named the “Best Place to Travel in 2023” on the Forbes.com list.
