Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay Hotel to Undergo Third Refurbishment

The 5-star Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay will soon undergo its third and final stage of an extensive renovation, the resort’s management recently announced. Renovation works are expected to take place this fall ahead of a spring 2023 relaunch.

Part of the global Wyndham Hotels portfolio, the resort is set on a pristine bay on the north-east coast of Crete, easily reachable from popular destinations Elounda and Agios Nikolaos.

Owned and managed by Zeus International, the Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay underwent an initial redesign in 2019, and a phase two renovation in 2022 to modernize its rooms and elevate the guest experience.

Phase three of the hotel’s renovation will see the final remodeling of 108 rooms, which are set to feature an earthy color palette and natural materials, including oak wood flooring and black metal finishes.

The new rooms will offer bungalow suites and rooms with far reaching sea views and private pools and indoor jacuzzis, providing guests with the necessary comfort and privacy.

In addition, the resort’s main swimming pool will be extended and also boast an infinity overflow feature.

Other renovation plans include the construction of a floating platform in the sea to better serve the resort’s water activity center and the creation of a new garden of aromatic native plants and herbs.

“The intensive redesign and renovation of Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay will determine the resort as a cut above the island’s existing properties, establishing it as one of the most deluxe hotel offerings in Crete,” added Siganos.
