Greece was named a Passengers’ Favorite Cruise Destination for the second consecutive year at the Wave Awards 2022, the premier awards of the UK cruise industry, held recently in London. Considered the “Oscars of Cruising”, the 8th edition of the awards took place at the Pan Pacific Hotel and were organized by Real Response Media – owners of “World of Cruising” and “Cruise Trade News” publications that are close collaborators of the UK & Ireland Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) branch. “Every year our awards get bigger and better. The scale of public voting and the caliber of our judges make winning a Wave Award a real accolade and something to be very proud of,” said Real Response Media CEO Chris Pitchford. Besides the “Favorite” categories which are voted by the public in which Greece amounted 175,000 votes as a winner, Wave Awards also honor the highest achievements in UK’s cruise sector with the assistance of an expert panel of industry judges.
