AEGEAN to Link Athens with Newcastle in 2023

Greek carrier AEGEAN will inaugurate a seasonal connection between Athens, Greece and Newcastle, UK, for summer 2023.

Athens-Newcastle direct flights will run from June 14, twice a week, every Wednesday and Sunday.

“We are delighted to be announcing Greece’s flagship carrier, AEGEAN, who will offer even more choice to the region by offering direct services to Athens with onwards connections within Greece and across Europe and the Middle East,” Leon McQuaid, Director of Aviation Development at Newcastle International Airport, said.

According to McQuaid, Greece is one of the North East’s most popular holiday destinations and there is huge demand for direct services to Athens.

“This investment demonstrates great confidence in the North East’s largest airport and the region and we look forward to welcoming AEGEAN in 2023,” he added.

AEGEAN flights from Newcastle International Airport are on sale now.

The seasonal Athens-Newcastle route will run until September 17, 2023.
