Four Greek hotels are among Europe’s 25 Best Beach hotels for 2023, according to a recent list released online by Condé Nast Traveller.

Launched in 1997 as Great Britain’s edition of the famed luxury travel magazine, Condé Nast Traveller mainly contains original UK content, though some of the US magazine’s features are repackaged for the British audience.

The “Europe’s Best Beach Hotels” list, created by the magazine’s editors, is inspired and linked to previous attempts to share the best beaches and hotels in Europe for Condé Nast’s readers.

Greece’s MarBella Elix in Parga, Western Greece, Ekies All Senses Resort located in Vourvourou, Halkidiki, Kyrimai hotel in Mani, Peloponnese and Ammos hotel on Chania, Crete made the coveted list chosen for their location, services, and atmosphere.

Spain topped Condé Nast’s list with 6 mentions, followed by Italy and France with 5, while beach hotels in Cyprus, Portugal and UK were also named as some of Europe’s best.

Located on a hill overlooking the islands of Paxos, Antipaxos and Corfu, the hotel is famous for its idyllic beach cove and views to the Ionian Sea.

This year, MarBella Elix was voted as third top Greek resort at Condé Nast’s Reader’s Choice Awards and was also included in the magazine’s 2022 Hot List.

Furthermore, it was named Europe’s Best Hospitality Hideaway in the acclaimed 2022 Connoisseur Circle awards.

Having recently made Condé Nast’s 2023 World Gold List the hotel is located just three steps away from water, according to the magazine and it lies at the end of a road going by “Byzantine churches, gorges and wandering goats”.

The hotel was among Booking.com’s Traveler Awards winners in 2021.

Located in Western Crete, Ammos is only a 20-minute drive from Chania airport with regular guests choosing it for its fell – good atmosphere, food and proximity to the beach.

CN Traveller’s Rachel Howard called the hotel “an example of genuine Cretan hospitality with uplifting interiors, great food, punchy – cocktails and good- humoured staff”.
