The island of Santorini, one of Greece’s most popular tourism spots, has been named the World’s Most Romantic Cruise Destination for Valentine’s Day, according to Panache Cruises.

Founded by cruise industry veteran James Cole in 2020, Panache Cruises is a British luxury cruise agency specializing in elite ocean, river, expedition and yacht-style cruising.

Taking into consideration a 200 percent, on last year, increase of Valentine’s Day cruise bookings, the company’s luxury cruise experts decided to name the top ten most romantic spots around the world where couples can enjoy time off surrounded by picturesque settings.

According to Panache Cruises’ list, Santorini is the top cruise destination in the world where one can offer their loved one an unforgettable Valentine’s Day.

Praised by the company’s experts for its “incredible views and sunsets, beautiful, blue-domed white houses built on cliff sides and the brilliant blue Aegean Sea”, Santorini is called “a perfect spot for a romantic getaway”.

Furthermore, the island is hailed for its many activities options like strolling around its villages, going wine tasting and visiting one of Greece’s best-known volcano.

Santorini, Greece.

Venice, Italy and the Maldives follow Greece on the list, with Paris, France and Kauai in Hawaii rounding up the top 5.

“These are places around the world that offer enchanting settings that are bound to make you and your other half swoon,” said Cole adding that a cruise with your loved one in one of these destinations is “one of the most romantic experiences you can give them”.

Santorini was also recently named a top Greek luxury destination as well as one of the most popular winter honeymoon choices across the globe.
