Tripadvisor: Greek Destinations Among ‘Best of the Best’ Places to Travel in 2023

The Greek destinations of Athens, Crete, Rhodes, Santorini and Zakynthos were applauded by travelers and ranked on Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice 2023 Best of the Best Destinations Awards list.

Tripadvisor’s list honors travelers’ favorite destinations worldwide based on the quality and quantity of ratings and reviews.

“Our Travelers’ Choice 2023 Destinations list reflects the very best places chosen by our devoted community… It’s really the ultimate reference guide for travelers dreaming about where to go next,” said Head of Editorial at Tripadvisor Sarah Firshein.

With regard to Greece, according to Tripadvisor, Crete is the World’s 7^th Most Popular Destination for 2023 and ranks 4^th on the European list.

The Greek island was also hailed as the World’s 2^nd Best Food Destination, winning the same spot on the European list.

Zakynthos, Greece.

Moreover, Athens is named as the World’s 3^rd Best Place for Culture in 2023 and Zakynthos has the 17^th best place on the World’s Best Nature Destination list.

In addition, Rhodes is in the 12^th position on the list of Europe’s Most Popular Destinations for 2023. Santorini is 15^th on the same list.

Tripadvisor’s Best of the Best Destinations lists for 2023 include Cuba as the world’s trendiest destination. In addition, Dubai has a top spot for popularity, Rome is a top culinary travel choice, Mauritius is hailed for its natural surroundings and Fes, Morocco, is recognized for its rich history.

Commenting on 2023 in travel, Firshein mentioned that “the outlook for this year is bright” with Asia and the Pacific getting back on the map and both classically favorite and alternative destinations picking up steam.
