Greece’s flagship carrier AEGEAN recently announced plans to boost its activity in the Israeli market.

According to a company announcement, the airline will add three new direct scheduled flights from Ioannina, Chania and Kalamata to Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, bringing the number of routes linking Greek and Cypriot destinations to Israel’s capital city to nine.

“The three new routes will be added to the company’s summer schedule, which this year is expected to start earlier and will appear in the booking systems in the coming days,” the announcement read.

Therefore, during the summer 2023 season, AEGEAN will fly to Tel Aviv via scheduled and charter flights from the following nine popular destinations in Greece and Cyprus: Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Mykonos, Rhodes, Larnaca, Ioannina, Chania and Kalamata.

It is reminded that AEGEAN connects Greece to Israel all year round with scheduled weekly flights from Athens and Thessaloniki. The company this year plans to increase flights from both Greek cities to Tel Aviv.

In addition, aiming to boost tourist flows from the Israeli market to Greece, AEGEAN will increase the number of seats offered by 50 percent compared to the previous year.

AEGEAN has been operating scheduled and charter flights to and from Israel since 2002, constantly increasing its activity and having transported until now a total of 4 million passengers.
