The restrictions were first announced last month. The aviation directive (NOTAM), which is aimed at limiting the spread of Covid-19, will be in effect until February 14 and requires for all travelers, regardless of nationality, arriving to Greece on direct flights from China to present: – a negative molecular test result (PCR) for Covid-19, taken at least 48 hours before arrival or – a negative Covid-19 rapid test, taken within 24 hours before their boarding for Greece. Travelers must also wear a high respiratory protection mask, such as FFP2, N95 or KN95, during the flight and their stay at the Greek airport of arrival. The measures for entry into Greece concerning travelers from China also apply to children from 5 years of age and older. Upon arrival in Greece, travelers must present their negative test results and necessary documents to the Hellenic Police upon request. Airlines are also obliged to verify that travelers have the necessary documents and test results. In case of non-compliance, the airline must repatriate the passengers at their own expense and responsibility.
