Photo source: Makedonia Palace. WorldHotels recently announced that the Makedonia Palace Hotel in Thessaloniki has joined the WorldHotels Luxury collection as the brand’s first hotel in Greece. WorldHotels is a leading hotel brand with a collection of properties in over 200 iconic destinations worldwide. Established in 1972, Makedonia Palace is considered a landmark hotel located on Thessaloniki’s seafront. Today the hotel combines its rich history with a recently revamped look merging aristocratic style with contemporary design. According to WorldHotels President Ron Pohl, the “iconic” Makedonia Palace is the perfect property to launch the WorldHotels brand in Greece. “Expanding our global brand footprint with our launch in Greece is an exciting milestone for WorldHotels as we continue to build our portfolio of incredible properties around the world,” Pohl said. The Makedonia Palace Hotel offers guests a full suite of luxury offerings and services and boasts complete wellness amenities, including the largest traditional hammam in Greece, an outdoor swimming pool by the seafront, a fitness center, and sauna facilities. The hotel’s Salonica restaurant, one of the city’s most awarded restaurants, is a prime example of Mediterranean flavors and gastronomy. Furthermore, Makedonia Palace, renowned for its organization of all types of events and conferences, offers a 900 square meters ballroom, as well as a functional 2,000 square meters conference center with a capacity of 1,000 people.
