The Makedonia Palace Hotel in the city of Thessaloniki recently joined WorldHotels’ Luxury Collection, becoming the first hotel in Greece to join the prestigious chain that boasts properties in more than 200 destinations worldwide.

According to an announcement, the Greek hotel’s addition to the WorldHotels portfolio was based on several key criteria including its high service level, culinary excellence, innovative practices, and unique MICE and leisure facilities.

“Our participation in the WorldHotels places Makedonia Palace extremely high on the world map of luxury tourism as a hotel as well as a destination,” said the hotel’s general manager, Alkiviadis Sotiriou.

Established in 1972, Makedonia Palace offers luxurious amenities and facilities aiming to offer guests a unique and unforgettable experience.

The hotel’s Salonica restaurant, hailed as one of the best in the city, serves a menu that combines haute cuisine with Mediterranean flavors. The hotel also has the largest traditional hammam in Greece, an outdoor swimming pool with sea view, a gym, and a sauna.

In addition to its luxurious amenities, Makedonia Palace is famous for its ability to accommodate any kind of event or conference at its 900 square meters ballroom or its exhibition center covering an area of 2,000 square meters and serving up to 1,000 visitors.
