Three Greek destinations – Mykonos, Heraklion (Crete) and Rhodes – are among the 25 and flights from Saudi Arabia are set to begin during the year. “Given the increase of demand in international travel, this is the right time to expand our global network in new, exciting ways,” Saudia Group Director General Ibrahim Al-Omar said with regard to the international network expansion. Other destinations in Europe to be added to Saudia’s network include London Gatwick in the United Kingdom, Nice in France, Malaga in Spain and Larnaca in Cyprus. “These new destinations will offer greater access and choices to our guests,” he said. Saudia is expected to announced more schedule details on the new destinations soon. It is noted that the airline recently launched the “Your Ticket Your Visa” service in January. The first-of-its-kind service provides guests with even easier access to Saudi Arabia through a digital integration system that links transit visas with flight tickets. The Saudi flag carrier has 142 aircraft, including the latest and most advanced wide-bodied jets presently available: B787-9, B777-300ER, Airbus A320-200, Airbus A321, and Airbus A330-300. Owned by Saudia, flyadeal is a Saudi low-cost airline based at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. The low-cost carrier’s network started in 2017 with a route from Jeddah to Riyadh, and today, its network of flights reaches 27 domestic, international, and seasonal stations.
