Fraport Greece, the company that manages the airport in Thessaloniki, was recognized for its excellence in the category of airports handling 5 to 15 million passengers per year. Launched in 2006, the ACI’s awards program recognizes airport excellence in customer experience worldwide based on data from ASQ’s renowned Departures and Arrivals surveys, with close to 400 airports in 95 countries participating in the program. The ASQ Awards, part of the ACI’s global airport rating program, bases its evaluation criteria on direct feedback from passengers on the day of their journey. Thessaloniki “Makedonia” Airport. The airport’s high score in more than 30 evaluation indicators included in the ASQ Awards questionnaire demonstrates the high level of services and standards under which the airport operates. Commenting on the win, Fraport Greece CEO Alexander Zinell said the company will continue modernizing the already upgraded 14 regional airports under its management. “Our goal remains clear and is none other than to offer a safe and memorable travel experience through our participation in the development of Greek tourism and local communities,” he said.
