Photo source: ITTF Warsaw Demand from Poland is growing with 30 percent of Polish travelers having already booked their holidays to Greece, according to feedback collected by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) during this year’s ITTF Warsaw. Based on data collected during the international travel and tourism fair held in Warsaw, Poland, this month, demand for Greek destinations is on the rise. Tour operators and agents visiting the GNTO stand expect an additional 50 percent of Poles to go ahead book their holidays by June with last-minute bookings on a downward trend. According to data, last year 900,000 Polish vacationers visited Greece ranking Poland fifth among the country’s top source markets, which include Germany, the UK, Holland and France. Many Polish travelers are repeat visitors choosing to holiday on Rhodes, Crete, Corfu, Kos and Zakynthos and opting for nature-oriented destinations offering gastronomy and cultural activities. Co-exhibiting with the GNTO at ITTF Warsaw 2023 were the regions of Central Macedonia, Eastern Macedonia & Thrace, Crete, Thessaly, Epirus, Western Greece and the Northern Aegean, as well as hotel groups. Photo source: GNTO In addition to presentations of Greek destinations, this year’s ITTF Warsaw included a special event by students of the Greek and International schools of Warsaw who presented the Greek language. Held during March 16-18, the ITTF Warsaw fair 2023 was the largest meeting of the tourism industry in Poland and the first international tourist fair in the capital in four years. Organized by Grupa MTP and the Polish Chamber of Tourism, the ITTF Warsaw fair took place at the Palace of Culture and Science and saw the attendance of exhibitors from Poland and abroad.
