Croatia Airlines: Timetable for Summer Flights to Athens from Dubrovnik, Zagreb and Split

Croatia Airlines recently presented its summer 2023 timetable, which sees the carrier connecting Athens with three destinations in Croatia – Split, Dubrovnik and Zagreb.

Croatia’s flag carrier is planning to start operating two flights a week on the Athens-Dubrovnik-Zagreb route on April 20 – on Thursdays, and Sundays. Similarly, in mid-May the company will introduce flights on Tuesdays, which means that passengers flying on this route will have three flights a week at their disposal.

Direct seasonal flights between Athens and Split will be introduced on May 27. On the Athens-Split route flights will be operated on Saturdays.

Croatia Airlines Director of Commercial Division Slaven Žabo presented the carrier’s timetable to Greek travel agents during an event in Athens with Zagreb Tourist Board and Athens International Airport (AIA). The event was also attended by the Croatian Ambassador to Greece, Aleksandar Sunko.

Greece-Croatia travel easier since March 26

Žabo, during his speech, reminded that on March 26 the Republic of Croatia joined the Schengen Area’s air travel regime, which means that flights between Greece and Croatia are now operated without border control at airports.

“I believe that travelling between Greece and Croatia in a faster, easier and more pleasant way will be an additional incentive for travellers to choose air travel for both business and pleasure,” he said.

According to AIA Communications & Marketing Director Ioanna Papadopoulou, the Athens market is experiencing significant growth of tourist numbers from Croatia.

“We are thrilled to welcome Croatia Airlines back to Athens, offering our passengers the choice between three wonderful destinations, Split, Dubrovnik and Zagreb… We wish our airline partner full and safe flights as we are firmly committed to continue substantially supporting its developmental plans to/from our market,” Papadopoulou said.

In summer 2023, Croatia Airlines will connect Croatia with 24 international destinations, and operate flights on a total of 47 international routes.
