Angsana Corfu Resort & Spa, a luxurious, family-friendly beach resort situated on the Greek island of Corfu, is preparing to welcome a new addition to its culinary offerings with the opening of Oribu, an innovative North Asian gastronomy concept restaurant. Oribu, which means “olive” in Japanese, will be launching on May 1, and promises to provide guests with a unique and immersive culinary experience. Upon entering Oribu, guests will be transported into a whimsical and refined world inspired by the artistry of contemporary North Asian cooking combined with locally sourced ingredients. The ambiance is brought to life by a beautiful olive tree at the entrance and olive branches adorned with gold leaf, creating a destination within a destination. Olive is the star of the show at Oribu, with the fruit making an appearance in all shapes and forms in each section of the menu, including starters, salads, main dishes, rolls and cocktails. Classic Japanese, Korean, and Taiwanese recipes are reimagined with Corfiot produce, with rolls, nigiri, and crudos showcasing sustainably caught local fish and the island’s celebrated sardines, olive oil, herbs, kumquats, and fruits. As for dessert, guests can expect to find a last course infused with olive oil, among other dessert options on the menu, like a perfectly cooked olive oil cake or olive oil and kumquat sorbet to conclude their gastronomic Oribu experience. The specialty bar menu features an expert selection of Japanese sakes and whiskies, with original creations including sake-based cocktails made with local fruits and herbs. Oribu restaurant.
