Athens’ Acropolis Hill Hotel Brings Nature to its Guests Through Art

Aiming to help its guests feel more relaxed and closer to nature, the Acropolis Hill hotel in Athens has brought the outdoors straight to its premises… through art!

In collaboration with Technohoros art gallery, the hotel recently added a large-scale (250 x 500 cm) painting by Greek artist George Pantazis to its atrium.

Titled “White Birches”, the painting looks to convey the coolness and colors of a forest of white birch trees to guests. With vivid colors, the painting depicts a row of trees that refer to the ancient Greek columns and in a unique way reproduce the natural beauty that surrounds the Acropolis.

With his painting, Pantazis expresses his love for nature and the environment, and tries to convey this feeling to his audience.

“The uniqueness of George Pantazis’s work lies in the interesting representation of the trees that creates the feeling of being in a forest, while at the same time they refer to the columns of the Acropolis… The imposing presence of the trees and their inclusion in the hotel area creates a unique experience for guests,” the hotel’s management said in an announcement.

Following is a video of the painting’s creation by Pantazis.

“Art can create a unique atmosphere and inspire visitors, and this project is an example of how this can be achieved with the right collaboration and approach,” the hotel’s management added.

Located in one of the most privileged areas in the center of Athens, the 3-star Acropolis Hill hotel is within walking distance of Athens’ top attractions including the Acropolis, the scenic Plaka neighborhood, the Acropolis Museum, Syntagma Square, the Ancient Agora and many more.

The Acropolis Hill hotel features modern facilities in a smooth boutique setting designed by 3SK-Stylianidis architects.
