The Region of Attica in Greece introduced its various tourism destinations and unique travel experiences that can appeal to the Middle Eastern market, during its showing at the recent Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Dubai 2023. Held in early May, ATM Dubai 2023 featured over 2,000 exhibitors and approximately 34,000 visitors from more than 150 countries. “Attica is a one-of-a-kind tourist destination for the international traveler, offering high quality gastronomy, a revitalized coastal front and state-of-the-art infrastructure that enhances accessibility,” said Attica Governor Giorgos Patoulis. According to representatives from the region, Attica can easily become an attractive choice among Middle Eastern and Persian Gulf countries with its diverse geographical destinations, wide range of travel experiences, and high-quality services and activities. Aiming to strategically engage with the Middle Eastern market, the region’s representatives held numerous scheduled business meetings (B2B) with local and international market players, industry professionals, and esteemed media outlets throughout the exhibition. They also participated in a Buyers’ Speed Networking Event, during which they interacted with tourism professionals from around the world. Considering that travelers from the Middle East are high spenders that seek luxury services and unique travel experiences, the Region of Attica will aim to launch further actions to attract more tourists from the Arab market.
