Singapore Airlines (SIA) announced that it will extend unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi access to all travelers across all cabin classes, including Premium Economy Class and Economy Class, starting from July 1. According to the airline, the enhancement will be available on virtually the entire SIA aircraft fleet, with the exception of the company’s seven Boeing 737-800 NGs that are not Wi-Fi enabled, and the majority of its global route network. Passengers have the opportunity to stay connected with their loved ones, work seamlessly online, and keep up with the latest news or social media updates, even at an altitude of 36,000 feet. This in-flight Wi-Fi access will transform the way passengers experience air travel, offering them the freedom to remain connected throughout their journey. “Giving passengers access to free unlimited Wi-Fi is yet another milestone in SIA’s continuous effort to offer an exceptional end-to-end travel experience,” said Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience at Singapore Airlines. To enjoy the service, customers will need to enter their KrisFlyer membership details at the time of booking through the Manage Booking online option or during check-in. Non-KrisFlyer members can easily sign up for a free membership online or onboard their flight using the SIA digital content portal on their personal mobile devices, allowing them to take advantage of the complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi. Customers traveling in Suites, First Class, and Business Class, as well as PPS Club members, including PPS Club supplementary cardholders, will continue to enjoy unlimited access to the in-flight Wi-Fi service. Since February 2023, KrisFlyer members flying in Premium Economy Class and Economy Class have been entitled to complimentary three- and two-hour Wi-Fi surf plans, respectively.
